Indian Museum Kolkata (IMK) in collaboration with Apeejay Kolkata Literary Festival (AKLF) 2015 will jointly organize the inaugural event of the Apeejay Kolkata Literary Festival 2015 as a collaborative programme of the AKLF and the Indian Museum Kolkata (IMK) Bi-centenary Year Programme on Wednesday, 14 January, 2015 at 6.00 p.m. in the central courtyard of Indian Museum, Kolkata.
The event will consist of an opening performance of traditional Manipuri artistes; choreographed by Priti Patel . An audiovisual presentation will be delivered by the Director, Indian Museum
The panel discussion on the theme of tangible and intangible heritage titled ‘Creating and Sustaining: Cultural Heritage and Contemporary India’ will feature the following personalities –
Dr Charles Allen, Dr. Shashi Tharoor and Shri Jawhar Sircar. The Guest of Honour, Leila Seth will address the gathering on the theme. Moderation will be done by Prof Swapan Chakravorty, ex-DG, National Library.
