Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya under the celebrations of its 40th Foundation Day

Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya under the celebrations of its 40th Foundation Day is organising various programmes and activities at its premises from 21-23 March, 2016.  The inaugural ceremony of this three day celebrations will begin at 5 pm. The chief guest of inaugural ceremony will be Prof B.K. Konwar (Vice-Chancellor, Nagaland University, Nagaland).
On this occasion, a new Gallery on Ethno Music at Veethi Sankul will be opened and Nagaland Prasang : Cultural Festival of Nagaland under Celebration of Regional Cultures will be inaugurated. Followed by felicitation of traditional artisans and retired employees.
The guests will inaugurate this three day programme by lighting of 1001 wicks traditional lamp of Kerala Aal Vilakku at Veethi Sankul premises of Manav Sangrahalaya.
In the evening cultural programmes- traditional presentations from Nagaland where famous band -Tetseo Sisters & Traditional Dances of various Naga Communities will be performed at Open air stage of Charaiveti premises from 7pm.
The visitors can enjoy “Live Demonstration Cum Sale of Traditional Art and Crafts of Nagaland” from 11am at Himalayan village and Ethnic Cuisine of Malwa, West Bengal and Punjab will be available at reasonable prices from 1.00 pm at Open air exhibition Himalayan village.
